SANITARY AND SAFETY POLICIES

Our heightened sanitization and disinfection procedures is a multi-barrier approach to reduce the transmission of infection causing virus.

We will respond and evolve established sanitation protocols as sanitation situation develops—with only your safety in mind. You, your pet’s and our sta safety are our utmost concern. If you are sick or have any symptoms, give us a call and we will come pick up your pet. Should you not want to leave your vehicle when you arrive for your appointment, please let us know we will have a sta member come out to meet you.

Disinfectant & frequent cleaning

Pawlacio Pets will use a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after   check-ins—with a heightened attention to all high-touch surfaces regularly and after every pet is groomed.

The daycare play zones will be cleaned regularly during business hours and end of day.

An air scrubber will be used during business hours while UVC light and ozone will be used when everyone (human and dogs) has left the facility at the end of the business day. We’ll disinfect doorknobs, handles, rails, light switches, sanitizing stations, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, seats, the front desk, keyboards, computers, phones, and grooming and daycare equipment every two hours through the business day.

Sta face masks & gloves.

All employees will be encouraged to wear gloves and mask during their shift. They’ll wash their hands before refreshing gloves and masks as needed.

Ultraviolet (UV) C Light

We will use UVC light treatment to sanitize our equipment and facility to ensure a healthy and hygienic facility for your pets.

“UVC”, “UV disinfection” and “UV” used in the facility are UVC light energy (200-280nm light) in the germicidal range which is not the same as the UVA and UVB used in tanning beds or sunlight exposure. UVC light used as a UV light sanitizer has the ability to kill up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria and viruses, also called pathogens. Ultraviolet (UV) light is a short wave length light invisible to the human eye and is almost completely absorbed by the earth’s ozone layer, so it's generally the one that people are less familiar with - but it's powerful nonetheless. UV disinfection technologies can play a role in a multiple barrier approach to reducing the transmission of the virus causing COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, based on current disinfection data and empirical evidence. UV is a known disinfectant for air, water and surfaces that can help to mitigate the risk of acquiring an infection in contact with the COVID-19 virus when applied correctly.

Hand sanitizer

Hand sanitizing stations will dispense sanitizer with a higher alcohol concentration throughout the facility.

Social distancing practices

Our employees will work to get pets in and out of the grooming studios and play zones while maintaining safe distancing practices. To help, floor markers will indicate a safe distance in the lobby reception area for check in and out. We ask that you avoid waiting for your pets in these high-trac areas, and  consider waiting outside or in your car if you’re comfortable and weather

permits it.

The studio shop

Our retail shop will still be available but we ask that you avoid touching items as much as possible. If you’d like to make a purchase, please stand on the floor marker when waiting in line.

Retail returns.

We won’t be allowing clients to try items on before buying but will still accept returns. If a client does return an item, we won’t put it back on the shelves until it is sanitized and maybe deemed safe.

Moving forward, we’re continuing to monitor the situation

While Pawlacio Pets is taking every precaution to keep our community safe (and encourage you to do the same), we’re acutely aware of and highly sensitive to new public health challenges.

In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 in our facility, and you were potentially in contact with the individual or the pet, you’ll be notified immediately. From there, we’ll take the proper safety precautions to disinfect the studio from top to bottom.

The aim of our pet care business is to provide a pet care facility that serves the community.
