SANITARY AND SAFETY

Our heightened sanitization and disinfection procedures is a multi-barrier approach to reduce the transmission of infection causing virus.

As an AKC S.A.F.E Groomer, we will respond and evolve established sanitation protocols as sanitation situation develops—with only your safety in mind. You, your pet’s and our staff safety are our utmost concern.

Pawlacio pets uses a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after check-ins—with a heightened attention to all high-touch surfaces regularly and after every pet is groomed. The daycare play zones will be cleaned regularly during business hours and end of day.

Air scrubbers will be used throughout business hours while UVC light and ozone will be used when all humans and dogs have left the facility at the end of the day. We’ll disinfect doorknobs, handles, rails, light switches, sanitizing stations, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, seats, the front desk, keyboards, computers, phones, and grooming and daycare equipment every end of business day.

All employees will be required to wear gloves during their shift, and strongly encouraged to wear masks. After deep cleaning, they’ll wash their hands before refreshing gloves and masks as needed.

UVC light treatment

We will use UVC light treatment to sanitize our equipment and facility to ensure a healthy and hygienic facility for your pets.

“UVC”, “UV disinfection” and “UV” used in the facility are UVC light energy (200-280nm light) in the germicidal range which is not the same as the UVA and UVB used in tanning beds or sunlight exposure. UVC light used as a UV light sanitizer has the ability to kill up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria and viruses, also called pathogens.Ultraviolet (UV) light is a short wavelength light invisible to the human eye and is almost completely absorbed by the earth’s ozone layer, so it’s generally the one that people are less familiar with – but it’s powerful none the less.

UV disinfection technologies can play a role in a multiple barrier approach to reducing the transmission of the virus causing COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, based on current disinfection data and empirical evidence. UV is a known disinfectant for air, water and surfaces that can help to mitigate the risk of acquiring an infection in contact with the COVID-19 virus when applied correctly.
